High Falls is located on the Grassy River about 20 km south-west of Timmins and is relatively easily accessed over a forestry road (see Grassy River trip in this database). It is a place that many people have heard about but often have not seen it as it was difficult to get to. With logging operations in the area it is now relatively easy to get to.

High Falls can be accessed in several ways. You can hike or bike the 12 km out from the Dalton Road along a well marked trail on the east side of the Grassy River or you can drive quite close to the falls along the Musgrove Road which parallels the west side of the Grassy. It is also an excellent and easy canoe trip down the river from below High Falls to the Dalton Road bridge. You may also choose to continue the canoe trip down to the Malette bridge or even down into Timmins along the Mattagami River.
