We call this Archie's Rock because it was first shown to the Timmins Family YMCA Outers Club by Archie Chenier. It is an interesting geological feature that appears to have been pushed up from underlying rock layers sometime in the recent geological history of the area. It does not appear to be the result of glaciation as the edges of the rock are sharp rather than rounded.

The trip can be done as a biking trip as the Little Star Lake Road is excellent for biking. If you are biking, leave your vehicle on the Little Star Lake Road near highway 101. The trip will be about 3 km in and 3 km back with about 1 km walking in to the rock formation.
