In the winter this is a ski area but in the summer and fall it makes a great outdoor walk. From the top of the mountain there is a vista of the area surrounding Timmins. The 485 foot elevation gives residents and visitors an opportunity to see mountains and ridges up to 80 km away.
It takes about 20 minutes to drive from downtown out to the ski hill.
On the top of the mountain is a communication tower which used to be a fire lookout in the early days. It is not possible to climb the tower at this time.
As visitors will see, there are two quad chair lifts which carry skiers up the mountain in the winter. Although they do not run in the summer, the hills provide an enjoyable climb for all ages.
